The budget is perhaps the most important managerial responsibility for the Newburgh Town Council. In order to maximize Newburgh’s appeal to residents and small businesses, the town government must be efficient in its pursuit of smart growth while striving to keep fees and taxes from rising.

As an attorney with a Fortune 500 company and leader of several non-profit
organizations, I understand budget complexities and the need for fiscal responsibility
and minimizing debt. Smart growth can be achieved through responsible investment
in economic development and quality of life, and irresponsible spending must be
eliminated.
